To apply for the recruitment of 550 Administrative Officers (Generalists & Specialists) (Scale-I) at The New India Assurance Company Ltd. for 2025, follow these steps:
Visit the Recruitment Section of the Company’s website: www.newindia.co.in
Click on "APPLY ONLINE" to open the application portal.
For new registration, click on "Click here for New Registration" and enter your Name, Contact details, and Email ID.
The system will generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password. Note these down safely.
If you cannot complete the application in one go, use the "SAVE AND NEXT" option to save your data and complete later.
Carefully fill in the application form and verify all details as changes are not allowed after submission.
Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration as per the specifications given.
Preview the entire application before clicking "COMPLETE REGISTRATION".
Proceed to the 'Payment' tab and pay the application fee online.
After successful payment, submit the application.
Payment is made online via Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets.
Avoid pressing the back or refresh button during payment to prevent double charges.
On successful payment, an e-Receipt will be generated to take a printout.
If payment fails, log in again and retry.
Photograph: Recent passport size color photo against a light background; size 20KB to 50KB; 200x230 pixels preferred.
Signature: Signed on white paper with black ink; size 10KB to 20KB; 140x60 pixels preferred.
Left thumb impression: On white paper with black/blue ink; size 20KB to 50KB; 240x240 pixels preferred.
Handwritten declaration: Text to be written by the candidate in English, not in capital letters; size 50KB to 100KB; 800x400 pixels preferred.
All scanned documents must be in JPG/JPEG format with specified dimensions and sizes.
The mode of selection for the recruitment of 550 Administrative Officers (Generalists & Specialists) (Scale-I) at The New India Assurance Company Ltd. involves a three-phase process:
An online objective test for 100 marks consisting of three sections:
English Language (30 questions, 20 minutes)
Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 20 minutes)
Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions, 20 minutes)
Candidates must qualify in each section by securing passing marks decided by the Company.
Approximately 15 times the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on performance.
Conducted online and consists of:
Objective Test for 200 marks (different for Generalists and Specialists):
For Generalists: Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude
For Specialists: Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and an additional technical/professional knowledge test
Descriptive Test for 30 marks (English only) – Letter Writing (10 marks) and Essay (20 marks)
Candidates need to qualify in each objective test section to be shortlisted for descriptive test evaluation.
Descriptive test is qualifying in nature; marks are not counted for shortlisting or final selection.
Penalty of one-fourth mark for wrong answers in objective tests.
Scores are equated across sessions to adjust for difficulty differences.
Candidates shortlisted from the Main Examination are called for an interview.
The interview will be conducted at select centres.
The final selection is based on the consolidated marks of the Main Examination (objective test) and Interview in the ratio of 75:25.
The final merit list is prepared in descending order of consolidated marks, and candidates are selected as per available vacancies.
If two candidates have the same score, preference is given first to the candidate with higher interview marks, then to the older candidate by date of birth.
